Fight Your Fall Dry Skin with a Good Exfoliation

Posted by Bree Bruce

With Fall rolling in we can expect the days and nights to cool down and winds to pick up. This often means dry skin and chapped lips will also be on the rise, but there's a simple solution to that, and it's not just greasing yourself up with body butter.

EXFOLIATE! This may seem like an unnecessary step to a lot of you of, but I like to explain it as you don't shower with your clothes on, right? Because while you may get somewhat clean you're not going to get a complete clean and it's going to be much harder to do. Lotioning up without exfoliating means your lotion has to get through layers of dry skin before it can actually start healing your skin.

Aside from the obvious benefits of sloughing of dead skin, exfoliating will also improve your skins texture, brighten up dull and lackluster skin, even skin tone, help prevent breakouts and ingrown hairs, and improve circulation for healthier skin. There's really no reason not to add a good exfoliator to your skin care line up! And we have several that we love:

1. One Love Organic Vitamin C Body PolishA rinse-able polish like no other, Vitamin C Body Polish features an ultra-concentrated combination of Vitamin C Ester, aloe, shea and raw, organic sugar crystals to deeply exfoliate and hydrate for supremely soft, luminous skin.

2. Ilia Beauty Balmy NightsOrganic ingredients blended with tiny granules of volcanic stone powder, gently exfoliate the lips leaving a smooth, kissable surface in its place. Follow up with a conditioner of your choice to seal in moisture and bring your pout back into balance.

3. Eco By Sonya Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub Rough love for seriously smooth skin! This certified organic Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub targets stretch marks, dry flaky skin, cellulite and pigmentation. It also delivers deep and lasting hydration.
